Dr. Cenk Tek

Biography

Cenk Tek, MD, is a professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and director of the Psychosis Program at the Connecticut Mental Health Center. He specializes in treating individuals with psychotic disorders, particularly schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, offering a comprehensive range of treatments that include medication management and psychosocial interventions aimed at stabilizing symptoms and promoting long-term recovery. Dr. Tek's research focuses on exploring effective treatments for psychotic disorders, including the development and refinement of early intervention services for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. His work is dedicated to improving clinical outcomes for patients with these challenging conditions. Dr. Tek received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey and completed his residency in psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials and has contributed significantly to the field through his research and clinical expertise.
