She has co-founded the Archival Futures Collective, focusing on creating experimental archival films embracing emotions and ethics concerning outer space. Dovey is an Artistic Associate at the Powerhouse Museum and currently serves as a Research Fellow at Macquarie University, where her research centers on the intersection of science and art, particularly in relation to exoplanets.
