Biography

Ceridwyn King joined the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University in 2022. With an extensive marketing background, she is an industry consultant and researcher. Before becoming an academic, she served as head of marketing at Conrad Jupiters Hotel Casino in Gold Coast, Australia, and held marketing positions at Starwood Hotels and Resorts. She serves as Editor-in-Chief for Services Marketing Quarterly and holds several editorial positions at various hospitality journals. Dr. King's teaching and research accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the Paul Anderson Research Fellow in 2017 and the Arthur F. McGonigle Research Fellow in 2021. Her collaborative work led to the founding of the Center for Hospitality Resilience, a federally funded initiative to assist small tourism and hospitality businesses in navigating the impacts of COVID-19.
