Dr. César Briceño

Biography

César Briceño, MD, is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has extensive experience in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures involving the eyelids and the eye socket, with particular expertise in thyroid eye disease and upper face reconstruction. A board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Briceño is recognized for his contributions to clinical practice and education. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in enhancing medical student education and advocating for diversity within surgical subspecialties. Dr. Briceño completed his MD at Johns Hopkins University in 2007 and has held numerous positions since, further establishing himself as a leader in his field. He is dedicated to advancing ophthalmology through innovative educational approaches and surgical techniques.
