Biography

César Jiménez-Martínez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics, where he also serves as Programme Director for the MSc in Strategic Communications. His scholarship has received accolades including the Top Faculty Award Paper from the ICA Public Diplomacy Division and the Anthony D. Smith Award for an outstanding article published in Nations and Nationalism. Before joining LSE, he lectured at the School of Journalism, Media and Culture at Cardiff University and completed a postdoctoral stint at Loughborough University. Jiménez-Martínez has extensive experience as a journalist in Latin America, where he worked in various newspapers and television stations, as well as in public relations projects for organizations relating to nation branding.
