Biography

Chad Cyrenne serves as the Executive Director and Assistant Dean for Masters Programs in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago. He supports the academic administrative leadership of the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences (MAPSS), the Master of Arts in Computational Social Science (MACSS), and the Committee on International Relations (CIR). In this capacity, he oversees the institutional operations, collaborates with the Dean on academic curricular policy, and helps lead divisional efforts in the development of the MA programs. Chad holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago, an advanced degree from the Institut d’Études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College. He also has an International Baccalaureate from the Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific. Throughout his career, he has taught as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago, specializing in political theory, before assuming his current position.
