Biography

Chad William Farris, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Section Chief of Neuroradiology at Boston Medical Center. He co-directs the Center for Translational Neuroimaging and the Neuroimaging Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. His long-standing research interests involve utilizing neuroimaging techniques to investigate the neuropathologic mechanisms underlying cognitive impairment associated with aging and other pathological processes. Dr. Farris collaborates with various research centers, including the Framingham Heart Study and Boston University's Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Additional research interests include imaging patients with head and neck trauma, studying the relationship between head trauma and cognitive impairment, and applying artificial intelligence in neuroradiology, particularly in the contexts of stroke, cognitive impairment, and trauma. His work is recognized in various funded research projects.
