Chadwick Allen is a Professor at the University of Washington, where he also serves as the Associate Vice Provost in the Office of Academic Personnel Faculty. His published works include 'Blood Narrative: Indigenous Identity in American Indian and Maori Literary Activist Texts' (Duke University Press, 2002), 'Trans-Indigenous: Methodologies for Global Native Literary Studies' (University of Minnesota Press, 2012), and 'Earthworks Rising: Mound Building in Native Literature and Arts' (University of Minnesota Press, 2022). He has also co-edited a special issue on American Indian literatures with Beth Piatote for the Society of American Indians Legacies. Allen has been actively involved in promoting diversity and equity in academia and has previously served as the editor for the journal 'Studies in American Indian Literatures' and as President of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association (NAISA). He was a founding co-director of the Center for American Indian and Indigenous Studies (CAIIS) at the University of Washington.
