Dr. Chamsi Hssaine

Biography

Chamsi Hssaine is an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, specializing in Data Sciences and Operations. His research interests are primarily focused on data-driven decision-making, particularly in the areas of pricing and inventory management. His recent work delves into the impacts and fairness considerations in decision-making processes, exploring new models and algorithms that are particularly relevant to modern e-commerce platforms. Prior to his current role, Chamsi was a postdoctoral scientist in the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies group at Amazon, where he worked under the supervision of Garrett van Ryzin. He obtained his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S.E. and a minor in Applied Mathematics. Chamsi's contributions to the field are recognized through various publications and his continued engagement in research pertinent to operational analytics and optimization strategies.
