Biography

Chandra R. Bhat, Joe J. King Chair Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, teaches courses in transportation systems analysis and transportation planning. He is the director of the USDOT-funded National Center Understanding Future Travel Behavior Demand and previously served as the director of the Data-Supported Transportation Operations Planning (D-STOP) Tier 1 USDOT University Transportation Center. Bhat has a distinguished career as a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the area of travel demand modeling and travel behavior analysis.
