Dr. Chandrika Kumar

Biography

Chandrika Kumar is an Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine with expertise in geriatrics and medical education. Over the past seven years, Dr. Kumar has developed a unique geriatric curriculum for Traditional Internal Medicine residents, integrating geriatric learning across various hospital sites. Her role as the Associate Fellowship Director involves creating a multidisciplinary curriculum in collaboration with other specialties, focusing on enhancing the training of fellows in Geriatric Medicine. In 2015, she accepted a leadership position in the Master courses, contributing to the core working group responsible for developing the new medical school curriculum. Dr. Kumar is committed to curricular reforms that improve trainee experiences at all levels, aiming to effectively evaluate learning outcomes achieved through innovative curricular implementation.
