Professor Changhuei Yang conducts integrated research in optics and computation aimed at resolving biomedical challenges. His work spans computational microscopy, wavefront shaping, artificial intelligence-assisted pathology analysis, and transcranial sensing. He has been a significant force in advancing the field of biophotonics, with a focus on live embryo imaging. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997 and 2002, respectively, and completed his Ph.D. in Engineering in 2001.
