Biography

Chantal Pharand holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Université de Montréal and obtained her Pharm.D. from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. She completed her training with postdoctoral studies in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and in cardiovascular pharmacology at Université de Montréal / Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. She practiced as a pharmacist in the coronary unit and continues her practice at the Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Clinic of Hôpital de Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. Concurrently, she served as an assistant professor of pharmacy at Université de Montréal and subsequently became an associate professor, vice-dean of studies, full professor, interim dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and is currently the Deputy Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Success. A highly regarded scientist, award-winning researcher, and prolific author, she is an international authority in cardiovascular pharmacology.
