Dr. Chantal Thomas

Biography

Chantal Thomas is the Vice Dean and Radice Family Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, where she also directs the Cornell Center for Global Economic Justice. Her research focuses on international law and political economy, with an emphasis on global social justice. Professor Thomas has taught international law as a Visiting Professor at various distinguished institutions such as Columbia University, Harvard University, and Stanford University, both nationally and internationally. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Cambridge, a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. in Political Science from McGill University. She has consulted for prominent organizations including the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the World Bank, and has served on advisory committees with the U.S. Department of State. Professor Thomas is a published author with over 50 articles and is currently working on monographs set to be published by Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press. Her work spans various aspects of international economic law, development, and human rights.
