Biography

Charlene Nicholls-Nixon is an Associate Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she also serves as the Director of the Entrepreneurship Research Institute. Prior to joining TMU, she held faculty appointments at IPADE Business School in Mexico, Western University's Richard Ivey School of Business, and the University of Colorado in Boulder. Her academic research focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation, particularly in exploring how business incubation can create value for entrepreneurs. Her recent work investigates the interactions between incubators and the broader ecosystem that supports entrepreneurial activities. Dr. Nicholls-Nixon's research has been published in leading journals in management and entrepreneurship, and she actively participates as an associate editor for the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She has taught at various academic levels and contributed to numerous international executive education programs.
