Charlene Thompson is an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan, having joined in June 2023. Her PhD research utilized a community-based participatory approach to examine the success factors and improvement areas in health programs, particularly those affecting Indigenous families in Northern Saskatchewan. She is also keenly interested in the contributions of frontline workers like nurses and community health workers to public health programs. Recently, her research continues to include maternal-child health and the perspectives of families and frontline workers to improve health outcomes.
