Biography

Charles Blattberg is a full professor of political philosophy at the Université de Montréal. He grew up in Toronto and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. Between 1990 and 1992, he attended McGill University, where he earned a Master's degree. He was then awarded a Diplôme d'études approfondies from the Sorbonne (University of Paris) in 1996 and received his doctorate from the University of Oxford the following year. Subsequently, Blattberg undertook postdoctoral research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, after which he served as an assistant professor at Tel Aviv University. Since 2000, he has been teaching political philosophy at the Université de Montréal, except for the academic years 2005-2006 and 2012-2013 when he was a Lady Davis Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
