Biography

Charles Dorn is an Assistant Professor in the UW William E. Boeing Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics. He holds a Ph.D. in Space Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, which he completed in 2021. His work emphasizes architected materials and origami-inspired structures, aiming to mitigate vibrations, steer waves, and enable applications across disciplines such as space structures, robotics, and electronics.
