Biography

Charles Douglas, Ph.D., M.B.A., is the Interim Director of Assessment and an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas A&M University. He previously held the position of Chair of the Department of Social and Economic Sciences at California Health Sciences University, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Douglas is an experienced member of the Texas A&M University College of Pharmacy, having represented the institution in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy's House Delegates. He has contributed to the Pharmacy Continuing Education Advisory Committee at the Texas A&M Coastal Bend Health Education Center and co-chaired the Academic Affairs Committee for the Pharmacy Quality Alliance. Additionally, he is a member of an advisory board for a local medical device startup, where he provides workshops on product development and healthcare entrepreneurship. Dr. Douglas is noted for his innovative research and has received the Rufus Lyman Award and the AACP New Investigator Award, as well as the Texas A&M PESCA Award for research in medication literacy. He has granted support from American Pharmacies in Texas to teach new product development to pharmacy students at Texas A&M.
