Dr. Charles Mulford

Biography

Charles W. Mulford is a Professor Emeritus who served as the founding Director of the College's Financial Reporting Analysis Lab. He joined the faculty in 1983 and has been recognized with honors, including eleven Core Professor of the Year awards and five Elective Professor of the Year awards from the College’s MBA students. In 1999, graduate students voted to rename the Core Professor of the Year Award in his honor as the "Charles W. Mulford Core Professor of the Year Award." He received the university-wide W. Roane Beard Outstanding Teacher Award in 2000. Professor Mulford has appeared on numerous broadcast networks, including CNBC, ABC News, and Bloomberg TV, and has been quoted in over 500 leading business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Economist, Business Week, Forbes, and CFO. In addition to his work at Georgia Tech, he regularly consults with major domestic and international commercial banks and money management firms on issues related to credit, investment decision-making, and serves as the Director of Research at Cash Flow Analytics, LLC. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of BioDerm, Inc., located in Largo, Florida. Professor Mulford holds a doctorate in accounting from Florida State University and is a professionally qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
