Biography

Charles Palmer joined the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science in September 2009. He previously served as a Senior Researcher and Chair in Environmental Policy Economics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Palmer holds a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University, an MSc in Environmental Resource Economics from University College London, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany. Palmer's expertise spans development economics, environmental economics, environmental policy, governance, institutions, and natural resource management across Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America.
