Biography

Charles Sacobie is an Associate Professor and Indigenous Science Scholar at the University of New Brunswick. His academic interests lie in Aquatic Biology and Ecology, with a focus on fish ecophysiology and bioenergetics. He researches the impacts of climate change on fish, particularly regarding thermal hypoxia tolerance. His work investigates the feeding behavior of aquatic species, including Atlantic salmon, Atlantic wolffish, and American eel. He has contributed to various studies that explore metabolic rates and the effects of dietary energy levels on the growth and nutrient utilization of brook charr.
