Biography

Dr. Charles Zhao grew up in Toronto, Ontario, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. He then earned his Medical Degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Dr. Zhao completed his Postgraduate Residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan, where he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He furthered his expertise by completing a Fellowship in Female Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. Throughout his career, Dr. Zhao has been awarded multiple international Fellowship grants from esteemed organizations including the International Urogynecological Association and the International Continence Society, which enabled him to pursue additional training in Europe and the United States. His clinical interests include pelvic floor disorders, minimally invasive surgery, and urodynamic testing.
