Dr. Charlotte Lemech

Biography

Charlotte Lemech is a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales in the School of Clinical Medicine. She is associated with Scientia Clinical Research, a publicly funded early phase clinical trials centre at UNSW, where she conducts first-in-human and first-in-patient studies in various cancer disciplines. Charlotte is part of the Bright Alliance, which involves collaborations with major hospitals including Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women, and Sydney Children's Hospital. Her research focuses on biomarker development in endometrial cancer, particularly targeting circulating tumour cells and methylation studies. She brings substantial experience in managing phase I-III clinical trials, particularly in molecular targets such as PI3K/Akt, RAF/MEK, FAK, and FGFR. Charlotte has completed her medical oncology training with the FRACP in the SESIAHS network and has worked for four years in London at the early phase clinical trials unit of Sarah Cannon Research UK, alongside completing her MD(res) at University College London.
