Biography

Charlotte Spence joined the University of Oxford in October 2024 as a lecturer in Ancient History at St Hilda's College. She completed her PhD in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter, where her research focused on the conceptions of dead gods and ancient curse tablets. Charlotte studied Ancient History at the University of Birmingham. Additionally, she co-edits the Lived Realities in Ancient History series at Trivent Publishing.
