Biography

Charlotte Wilks is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in developmental psychology with a focus on cognitive capacities underlying human cumulative culture. She has worked on projects exploring conversational alignment in children with Autistic Spectrum Condition compared to typically developing peers. Wilks holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Stirling and has previously studied the general social cognitive capacities in children aged 2-11. Her research is currently funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). In addition to her PhD, she has earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Primary Mathematics from the University of Leicester, a Master of Science in Neuroscience from University College London, and a Bachelor of Science in Bioveterinary Science from the University of Liverpool.
