Professor Dr. Chethana Illankoon

Biography

Chethana Illankoon is a Scientia Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales in the School of Built Environment. Her research primarily focuses on life-cycle cost optimization, carbon emission analysis, and sustainable construction, particularly in relation to green buildings and circular economy principles. Prior to her tenure at UNSW, she worked at the University of Newcastle and has also been a researcher at the University of Hong Kong, contributing to numerous high-impact projects and publications. Dr. Illankoon has received several accolades for her contributions to the field, including notable awards at major conferences in Australia and New Zealand.
