Biography

Chiara Cauzzi holds a PhD in Language, Literature, and Italian Civilization and is co-holder of the course 'Principles of Digital Librarianship'. Starting in 2024, she will be a scientific collaborator on the DigitChart research project, which focuses on governing commons and building digital archive community charters of 13th-19th century Ticino at the Law Institute of the Università della Svizzera italiana, in collaboration with the LUMSA University of Rome. She has been a visiting scholar from November 2024 to October 2025 at the Venice Centre for Digital Public Humanities, collaborating on the description of medieval manuscripts for the CHIGC research project. Moreover, she participated in the Erasmus+ ANTIDOTE program as an expert at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Iceland, focusing on metadata capture and manipulation. She completed her bachelor's degree in Literary Sciences and a master's degree in Archival, Documentary, and Library Science with honors at the University of Pavia and specialized at the Vatican School of Librarianship. Currently, she is a lecturer at the University of Pavia, teaching courses in 'Librarianship', 'Bibliography Foundations', and 'Bibliographic Research Methodology'. Her research interests include the history of ancient books, library history, cataloging history, digital libraries, and archival management.
