Biography

Chiara qualified as a Registered Nurse after completing her Bachelor's Degree in Italy at Universita' degli Studi di Milano Bicocca in 2011. In 2013, she earned her Master's Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences from the same university. Chiara was awarded her PhD in Health Sciences by the University of Southampton in 2018, where she subsequently worked as a research fellow. By 2023, she had progressed to the position of Associate Professor at the School of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on health workforce well-being and performance, particularly regarding work hours and workforce configuration. Chiara has been involved in analyzing workforce data and has secured grant funding to support her work. In addition to her research, she contributes to education by designing and delivering courses around patient safety and workforce well-being, and she is passionate about aiding students in understanding and appraising research. Chiara has received notable awards, including the IJNS Rosemary Crow Award in 2016 for her abstract session presentation at HSRUK 2018.
