Biography

Chiara Vincenzi is an Italian fashion designer, textile artist, and educator. After moving to the United States, she worked as a fashion designer, product designer, and graphic designer for multiple world-class fashion companies in Italy, where she gained extensive experience in the field of fashion design. In the United States, she continued her professional practice as a designer consultant for fashion start-ups, focusing her work on the development of sustainable and ethical apparel lines. Chiara joined the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois in 2017 and currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor. Since her arrival, she has expanded the fashion concentration and added to the curriculum new courses such as ARTS 221: Fashion Illustration, ARTS 320: Fashion Textile Design, and ARTS 321: Sustainable Fashion Development Branding.
