Biography

Chien-Chi Lin is a professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. He obtained his PhD in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2007. Since 2010, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Before that, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado at Boulder working in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering. His main research focuses on the development and manipulation of multifunctional polymeric biomaterials, including hydrogels and nanoparticles, for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He has published numerous articles on topics such as enzymatic cross-linking of hydrogels and their applications in biomedical applications. Lin has received several awards throughout his career, including the Faculty Early Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation and the Outstanding Graduate Research Assistant Award from Clemson University. His expertise lies in biomaterials, photopolymerizations, tissue engineering, and bioconjugate chemistry.
