Chik Patrick Yue received his Master's and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He has held positions as a professor for decades and has taught integrated circuit design classes, conducting research at institutions including Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2010 to present, University of California, Santa Barbara from 2006 to 2011, Carnegie Mellon University from 2003 to 2006, and Tsinghua University as a visiting scholar in 2016. His research interests are diverse, covering areas such as optical wireline, millimeter-wave wireless System-on-a-Chip (SoC), System-in-Package (SiP) design, neural implant microsystems, 3D computer vision models, and power network management systems.
