Chin-Teh Sun is the Neil Armstrong Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. His accolades include the ISI Highly Cited Researcher recognition in Materials Science in 2006 and the Warner T. Koiter Medal by ASME in 2007. Professor Sun was also the first recipient of the AIAA/ASC James H. Starnes Award in 2009 and received the Alumni Merit Award from Northwestern University in 2010 for his academic and research achievements.
