Biography

Dr. Ngim Chin Fang was awarded the Equity Merit Scholarship for his medical studies at the University of New South Wales, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and an MBBS (Honors 1st Class) in 1996. After obtaining his specialist degree in pediatrics (MRCP UK) in 2001, he worked in various hospitals including the Melaka General Hospital and Newham General Hospital in London before joining Monash University. At Monash, he has taken on significant educational leadership roles, particularly in the development and implementation of the Children's Health curriculum. His research interests include Thalassemia, infectious diseases, medical education, and evidence synthesis. He has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has received awards for his teaching excellence. Dr. Ngim has played a vital role in coordinating the assessments for the Clinical Years of the MBBS program and has contributed to various projects related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
