Chin Ken Wong is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of New South Wales in the School of Chemistry. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from UNSW in 2018. His research interests primarily focus on innovating methods for self-assembly of block copolymers to create complex nanostructures. Wong specializes in self-assembly concepts including polymersomes and their shape transformations, hierarchical self-assembly from nanometers to micrometers, as well as the development of inverted solution polymer morphologies such as cubosomes and hexosomes. He has extensive experience in soft matter and electron microscopy techniques including cryo-TEM, cryo-ET, and 3D reconstructions. Wong's research has resulted in multiple publications, most recently highlighting the discovery of topological defects in polymer hexosomes. Additionally, he has been actively involved in collaborations and peer review requests in his field.
