Ching-Hua Huang is the Turnipseed Family Chair and Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and her B.S. degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University. Prior to joining the faculty at Georgia Tech in 2000, Dr. Huang was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California-Berkeley. Her research and teaching interests lie in the areas of environmental chemistry, advanced analytical chemistry, and the kinetics and mechanisms of emerging contaminant transformations. Dr. Huang is particularly focused on innovative water and wastewater treatment technologies, sustainable water reuse, and waste remediation for resource recovery. She has directed numerous research projects funded by federal and state agencies and industrial sponsors, addressing issues related to water treatment and contaminants. With over 160 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Huang is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences and universities, and serves as Associate Editor for ACS ES&T Water and on the Editorial Advisory Board of Environmental Science & Technology. Her students have received multiple honors from the American Chemical Society and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
