Biography

Ching-Ti Liu is a Professor at Boston University School of Public Health in the Department of Biostatistics. Liu earned his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also completed his Master’s degree, in addition to Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from National Central University. His research primarily focuses on the development of statistical computational approaches for genetics and genomics studies, specifically in bioinformatics. Liu has more than a decade of experience working with the Framingham Heart Study as a biostatistician, collaborating on various projects related to complex diseases such as diabetes, obesity, musculoskeletal disorders, and cancer. He has also actively engaged in international collaborative consortia that analyze genetics and genomics data. Through his role as an investigator at the Framingham Heart Study, he has been integral in collaborating with traditional epidemiological, biomedical, and basic science research teams. His contributions to the field have been recognized through a Fellow designation from the American Statistical Association and multiple teaching excellence awards from Boston University.
