Dr. Chitresh Saraswat

Biography

Currently working as a Research Fellow at the Fenner School of Environment & Society, ANU College of Systems and Society, Chitresh Saraswat is a Hoffmann Fellow focused on Innovation and Climate Adaptation at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. With a career that began in artificial intelligence, he transitioned into evidence-based policy planning with the United Nations, ultimately honing his research focus on public-private partnerships aimed at climate adaptation in the Global South. Saraswat has published over 30 high-impact articles and has a strong commitment to designing climate-oriented solutions, backed by robust networking and collaborative skills. His educational background includes a PhD focused on Water Sustainability in the Global South from the Australian National University, and a Joint PG Diploma in Sustainability Science and Climate Negotiations from the University of Tokyo and the United Nations University. He has diverse experiences ranging from academia to media and sports, underscoring his passion for impactful and sustainable innovations. His areas of expertise encompass climate adaptation, innovation, water governance, cybernetics, and environmental governance. He has gained significant insights through his educational and professional journeys across several continents, contributing to his understanding of global sustainability challenges.
