Biography

C. Chloe Powell, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She has been a Clinical Instructor in the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program since 2015. With over 20 years of clinical practice experience, she brings exemplary technical skills and a wide breadth of knowledge to her teaching. Dr. Powell graduated from the Primary Care Program at USC in 1994 and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska in 2003. She earned her Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. She has written several peer-reviewed publications in medical and PA education journals and contributed to a procedural skills textbook. As a principal investigator, she successfully secured a $3.25 million HRSA grant to provide 100 scholarships for disadvantaged PA students. Dr. Powell is dedicated to mentoring future healthcare providers and is passionate about sharing her love of medicine with the next generation.
