Dr. Chris Fredette

Biography

Chris Fredette is a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, where he also serves as the Associate Dean Academic. He completed his Ph.D. at the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto, Canada, in 2009, following an M.B.A. from the Odette School of Business in 2004 and a B.A. in Commerce from the University of Windsor in 2003. His research interests focus on diversity and inclusion, governance in non-profit organizations, and the capabilities of social capital and networks. Fredette's work examines the dynamics of diversity within governance structures of non-profit boards, contributing to the understanding of effective organizational practices. He has published several articles in renowned journals, including the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly. Fredette has actively participated in professional organizations such as the Canadian Association of University Teachers as a Board Member from 2018 to 2021, and he has been involved with the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations from 2018 to 2020.
