Chris Greene is the Albert Overhauser Distinguished Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Purdue University. He specializes in ultracold few-body and many-body quantum systems, as well as in the study of electron-molecule collisions, dissociative recombination, and ultrafast laser interactions with atoms and molecules. His work also includes research on photofragmentation of atoms and molecules and the investigation of novel Rydberg molecules and multichannel Rydberg atoms. Greene has a substantial academic history, having completed his postdoctoral research associate training at Stanford University under Richard Zare and earning both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago, where he was advised by Ugo Fano. He has been acknowledged for his academic excellence, receiving the IBM Graduate Fellowship during his graduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he graduated with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics with high distinction and as a National Merit Scholar.
