Biography

Chris Maxwell is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Leadership and Change Management within the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been affiliated with the Wharton School since 1999, where he has previously served as an Adjunct Professor in Management and as the Senior Associate Director of the McNulty Leadership Program. Maxwell has extensive experience in teaching and consulting in leadership development programs across various countries, including Iceland, Mexico, France, Thailand, and China. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Penn State University and a graduate degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he possesses an executive coaching certificate from Case Western Reserve University. Maxwell is the author of the book 'Lead Like a Guide: World-Class Mountain Guides Inspire Leaders,' published by Praeger in 2016. He currently teaches programs at Wharton's Philadelphia campus, focusing on leadership and management skills for professionals in the securities industry through the Securities Industry Institute®, a globally recognized program.
