He completed his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006, focusing on cryptography, lattices, coding theory, algorithms, and computational complexity. His primary research interests lie in creating secure cryptographic schemes based on lattice problems, which are considered computationally intractable. Chris has been an active program committee member for many influential conferences such as CRYPTO, EUROCRYPT, and FOCS. He was recognized as an IACR Fellow in April 2024 and has received multiple Test-of-Time awards for his significant contributions to lattice-based cryptography.
