Biography

Jacques Rudell is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, having joined as an assistant professor in January 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His early career includes roles as an IC Designer Project Manager at Delco Electronics, focusing on bipolar analog circuits for automotive applications, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, along with consulting positions in Silicon Valley. In 2002, he joined Berkana Wireless (now Qualcomm) as an Analog/RF IC Design Engineer and later became Design Manager for the Advanced IC Development Group. He then worked at Intel in the Advanced Radio Technology Group, concentrating on RF transceiver circuits and advanced silicon processes. Rudell's research interests include mmWave CMOS IC design, and he has received the National Science Foundation CAREER award. He has served in various capacities for the IEEE, including as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits and as the General Chair for the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference in 2013.
