Biography

Chris teaches Information Analysis and Retrieval at the University of Michigan School of Information, where he utilizes his industry and academic skills in software development and data analysis. Prior to joining UMSI, he led the design and development of digital educational applications at the Digital Innovation Greenhouse, part of the Office of Academic Innovation. As a postdoctoral fellow at Copenhagen Business School, Chris leveraged his experience to create startup ventures focused primarily on analytics. His doctoral work centered on the design and development of tools for visualizing knowledge spaces. His research interests include Data Science, Learning Analytics, Automated Text Analysis, Machine Learning, Statistics, and Big Data.
