Biography

Chris Zatzick joined Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business in 2001 after completing his Ph.D. in Management at the University of California, Irvine. His research examines a variety of organizational issues, particularly focusing on downsizing, layoffs, high-performance work systems, organizational change, and diversity. Zatzick's work has been featured in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Industrial Relations. He has also received four paper awards from the Academy of Management, recognizing his impactful contributions to the field. Known for his excellent teaching abilities, Zatzick consistently ranks in the top 10 percent of faculty on the SFU Business Teaching Honour Roll. Outside of academia, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children.
