Dr. Christian Boudreau

Biography

Christian Boudreau is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo, specializing in biostatistical methods with a focus on survival analysis, event history analysis, survey sampling, and longitudinal data. Since joining the university in June 2005, he has been an active member of the Division of Biostatistics at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Boudreau holds the position of associate director at the Data Management Core, where he works to ensure data quality and provide statistical support for the International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Survey, a longitudinal study tracking over 10,000 smokers internationally. His research interests include developing analytical methods for longitudinal studies with complex survey designs, and he is particularly noted for his contributions to biostatistical methods applied to bone marrow transplant data. Boudreau has collaborated on numerous research projects involving prominent researchers across various institutions, developing methodologies for estimating spell durations and handling correlation within clustered observations. His extensive publication record includes studies on the impacts of smoke-free legislation, socioeconomic disparities in smoking cessation, and analyses of health outcomes in relation to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
