Dr. Christian Dahl

Biography

Christian Dahl is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen in the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies. His primary research areas include Greek literature and drama, especially from the 5th century BC, as well as Renaissance theater and the history of the reception of Greek tragedies. He is deeply interested in the sociology of literature and its history of effect, genre theory, and modernity critique. Over the past years, his research has focused on tragedy and passion in the 15th and 16th centuries and the cultural history of republican thought. Dahl has contributed to various lectures and conferences, engaging with topics such as Greek and Roman literature and modern literary histories.
