Biography

Christian Ewald is a Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Glasgow with extensive expertise in Quantitative Finance, Risk Management, and Commodities. He was educated at the University of Mainz, where he earned his MSc, and at the University of Heidelberg, where he completed his PhD. Ewald also holds a higher doctorate (Habilitation) from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany. He has held research professorships at the University of Inland Norway and Umeå University in Sweden. Previously, he has held positions at several institutions including the University of Sydney, Nottingham University Business School in China, University College Cork, and the University of St. Andrews. In addition to his teaching and research, Professor Ewald has supervised over 20 PhD students and has been involved in various research grants related to finance and economics. His research interests lie in areas such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Economics, and Environmental Resource Economics.
