Biography

Christian Freigang is a German art historian specializing in the history and theory of architecture from the Middle Ages to the modern period. He completed his studies in art history, classical archaeology, historical auxiliary sciences, and library science across various universities, including Munich, Bonn, and Berlin. Freigang earned his doctorate in 1990 with his dissertation on the cathedrals of Narbonne, Toulouse, and Rodez.
